About ZED Scheme

The ZED scheme is a government initiative aimed at promoting quality and productivity in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India.

Objectives of the ZED MSME Scheme 

The ZED MSME scheme has the following objectives:

  • MSMEs to adopt best practices in quality and productivity. 
  • To reduce the cost of production for MSMEs
  • To enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs in domestic and international markets.
  • To reduce the impact of manufacturing on the environment.  
  • To create a culture of quality and productivity among MSMEs. 
Who Can Apply for this ZED Scheme?

Indian Manufacturing MSMEs who is having Valid Udyam Registration.

Levels of ZED Scheme:
  • ZED Bronze Level: At this level, MSMEs undergo a desktop assessment of their processes and operations based on 5 parameters of the ZED scheme.
  • ZED Silver Level: MSMEs at this level undergo a desktop and a 1-day onsite assessment by an approved third-party assessment agency to verify their self-assessment. MSMEs are evaluated on the 14 parameters of the ZED scheme.
  • ZED Gold Level: MSMEs at this level undergo a desktop and a 2-day onsite assessment by an approved third-party assessment agency to verify their self-assessment. MSMEs are evaluated on the 20 parameters of the ZED scheme.
