ZED Assessor Opportunities and Benefits

For the betterment of MSMEs and overall industrial growth, the Ministry of MSME has introduced the prestigious ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certification scheme. This initiative is specifically designed for manufacturing MSMEs and includes three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Silver level – 1 Man-day Onsite Assessment

Gold level – 3 Man-day Onsite Assessment

At Silver & Gold levels,
on-site assessment is mandatory.

At the Silver and Gold levels, on-site (physical) assessment and virtual surveillance are mandatory parts of the certification process. For this purpose, the role of ZED Assessors has been established.

A ZED Assessor acts as a professional auditor who visits MSME units, conducts physical verification, and evaluates their systems, processes, and compliance as per ZED standards. This role is critical to ensure transparency, accuracy, and quality in the certification process.
