Steps for Site Assessment
This step is applicable for MSMEs applying for Silver or Gold Certification.
Congratulations on successfully completing the Basic Information and Document Upload stage.
By completing this step, your unit has moved forward in the ZED certification journey.
The next stage after Basic Document Upload is the Site Assessment.
Preparation Before Site Assessment
After completing the Basic Information and Document Upload stage, MSMEs may take approximately 10–15 days to prepare detailed parameter documents and ensure proper implementation at the unit level.
During this preparation period, MSMEs are encouraged to strengthen their understanding of parameters and documentation requirements.

Before the assessor visit, MSMEs must prepare documentation as per:

14 Parameter Checklist
Gold level
20 Parameter Checklist
MSMEs are advised to review and complete the respective parameter checklist thoroughly before confirming the audit date.

We strongly recommend attending the workshop before proceeding for Site assessment. MSMEs whose Site assessment has already been conducted and where NC (Non-Conformities) are observed may also attend the workshop to better understand parameter requirements and learn the correct approach for effective NC closure.
Audit Process (Site Assessment)
Once documentation and parameter preparation are complete, a Site Assessment (Audit) will be conducted:
Silver level
1 Man-Day Audit
Gold level
3 Man-Day Audit
The assessment will be carried out by an authorized ZED Assessor at the unit location.

Confirming Audit Date
When the MSME is confident about parameter implementation and documentation readiness:
It is recommended to confirm the audit date only after full preparation to ensure a smooth and successful assessment.
